Goldbach Conjecture and Decking

About a year ago I was working on some imaging related to the Goldbach Conjecture.  The Goldbach Conjecture says that every number greater than two (2) is the sum of two unique primes.

For example

  2 + 5 = 7
  3 + 5 = 8
  7 + 2 = 9
  7 + 3 = 10
 
and so on.  In thinking about this I created an image to show the role each prime plays in generating sums.


This last year we decided to extend our porch to include a new, decked area.  I wanted the decking to reflect the notion of the overlapping primes.

The deck was constructed like this:
